They work together to treat gum disease, rebuild lost tissue, and place dental implants, using the latest technology like 3D imaging and laser treatments. Their office is guided by values like kindness, honesty, and treating patients like they'd treat family. If you're dealing with dental problems, they're ready to help you restore your oral health and improve your overall well-being.

Dr. Henriod: Hi, I’m Dr. Joel Henriod. I’m a periodontist in Pasadena, California.

Dr. Hendry: I’m Tyler Hendry, and I’m a doctor in periodontics.

Dr. Henriod: I can humbly say that we are a very unique office. Dr. Hendry and I are really very close philosophically, meaning that we see cases in a similar light, and we’re able to play off each other when we’re trying to plan, especially the difficult cases.

Dr. Hendry: Working together is a dynamic that keeps our profession and what we do fresh. There’s other teams out there, but nobody does it like us.

Dr. Henriod: So a periodontist is a specialist in dentistry that really focuses on gum health. So that might mean reversing gum disease. It might mean rebuilding lost gum tissue. So we form a treatment team along with a general dentist. A general dentist takes care of the teeth. Problems with the teeth, broken teeth, fillings, crowns that are needed. But if there’s a gum disease component to it or there’s missing teeth, we work together with a general dentist to help rebuild the foundation that holds the teeth in a healthy way or replace some of the missing teeth with implants.

Dr. Hendry: Our goal is to restore people to health, not for the short term, but to build a foundation that’s going to last and give them good function for years to come.

Dr. Henriod: Like everything in modern-day life, technology has transformed dentistry completely. So we are always abreast of the new technology to do different things in dentistry. We’ve adopted things like 3-D x-rays, laser gum surgical treatment, newer not only technologies but approaches to treatment that are less invasive than they used to be, as well as things like 3-D printing. So being able to take someone and actually print a model of the teeth and jawbone so we can plan surgery and plan for success.

Dr. Hendry: Good dental care is important to our patients. It’s part of a healthy lifestyle. Without health in the mouth, you suffer sometimes unknowingly with the rest of your body. It affects many different systems in your body, so having a healthy mouth contributes to overall health.

Dr. Henriod: As an office, we are values-driven, meaning that we have certain principles and values that drive how we treat people. Those include kindness, integrity, open communication, and wanting to have a positive vibe as we interact with everybody.

Dr. Hendry: We very much go by the golden rule. I think as long as we treat people the way we would like to be treated or treat a family member of ours, that’s how we strive to do it.

Dr. Henriod: If you’re suffering from dental problems and you don’t know where to turn, it’s an appropriate place to come to us and see if we can help you. If your problem is related to teeth that are broken down and need fixing, we can send you to a great dentist who can help you with that. If it’s related to our specialty with gum disease treatment or building up the bone or adding implants, we will help you. Don’t hesitate. Come find us.
